Being members of PASMA (Prefabricated Access Suppliers and Manufacturers Association, means that when you are trained by us, you have been trained to the National Recognised Standard. PASMA is the HSE recognised body for training in mobile aluminium access scaffold towers. 

PASMA Training in Edinburgh is usually held on customer site, however our Glasgow depot is situated in Cowlairs Industrial Estate, Glasgow G22, 5DT and we run PASMA training courses throughout the week both on site in Edinburgh and from our Glasgow depot. We are happy to run training courses on site in Edinburgh and around the surrounding areas, providing that there are adequate provisions on site. All the PASMA training courses detailed above are available on site or at our premises.

Which PASMA training course is right for me?

PASMA Standard Certificate - Towers for users

This PASMA Standard Operators Certificate course is designed for any personnel who will be responsible for the assembly, dismantling, alteration, moving and inspecting of mobile access towers.

PASMA - Towers for Managers

This PASMA Towers for Managers training course is designed for any personnel who has the responsibility for overseeing the work of operatives on site ensuring that work is properly planned and organised and that those involved in carrying out the work are competent and properly trained, and that towers are correctly inspected and maintained.

PASMA Low Level Access

This PASMA Low Level Access training course is designed for any personnel who work from prefabricated units of 2.5m of height.

PASMA Work At Height Essentials

This PASMA Work at Height essentials training course is for anyone who knows little or nothing about working at height. This half day course provides essential information about the use of mobile access towers, plus an insight into the use of all forms of access equipment as represented by the member organisations fo the Access Industry Forum.

PASMA combined standard and low level course

This PASMA Combined Standard and Low Level training course is for anyone in an organisation who assembles, alters, dismantles, moves, inspects and uses alloy or fibreglass mobile access towers and low level access units or podiums in the work place including offices, factories, schools and of course construction sites.

What is PASMA?

PASMA, stands for Prefabricated Access Suppliers' and Manufacturers' Association. It is an association of manufacturers and suppliers of prefabricated aluminium and fibreglass towers and is the lead industry body for all matters relating to mobile access towers in the UK. All members offer equipment that meets the current British/ European Standard, BS EN 1004:2004 and their equipment carries the British Standard Kite-mark or equivalent mark of approval.

PASMA training can only be carried out by PASMA approved training centres. The PASMA name and logo are registered Collective Marks of the Association, can only be used by members of the Association and can only be used by Approved Training Centres in respect of training.

What is a PASMA Training Course?

A PASMA training course is a combination of a written and practical test. Our PASMA training courses in Glasgow generally last for a single day from 8.00am to 4pm. The PASMA training courses are aimed at people within organisations that work with Mobile Access Towers whether alloy or fibreglass.

In Edinburgh you will be on site or in a previously arranged suitable classroom. In Glasgow you will be in one of our new state of the art training suites where our traines will endeavour to ensure you enjoy a good mix of classroom theory with practical hands-on training. PASMA training courses raise awareness of common hazards and the necessary precautions that must be taken when using Mobile Access Towers. Frequently asked questions about PASMA training courses

What should I do if a PASMA membership card is lost or stolen?

If you have been trained by Access Plus in Edinburgh and have lost your PASMA card or had one stolen, you must contact us and we can arrange to have a replacement sent. There will be a fee for this, £25+ vat to incorporate the administration charge and card replacement and you will be required to provide proof of identity.

Q:What action should I take after my PASMA card and certificate expires?

PASMA training cards or tickets, last for 5 years after which you will need to re-sit a written and practical test. Upon successful completion you will be re-issued with a competency certificate and encapsulated credit card sized Photo which grants you membership for another 5 years.

Q:What should I do if there is a misprint on a member’s Certificate?

You can contact us and we can arrange to have an amended PASMA card sent to you.
